Privacy policy
Last updated October 11, 2026
This policy says what Clarity OMS (“Clarity”, “we”) collects about the people who use it, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have. Clarity is software a business uses to run its operations — your employer, or a company you work with. That business decides who has an account and what goes into its workspace; we run the service for it.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, the email address you sign in with, and a photo if you upload one.
- Your mobile number, if you or an administrator in your workspace adds one, and whether and when you opted in to sign-in codes by text.
- What your workspace records: projects, estimates, tasks, contacts, files and the rest of the work your company keeps in Clarity. Your company controls it.
- Sign-in records: for each session, the browser, the network address and when it was last used, so you can see where you are signed in and end a session that is not yours.
- Cookies: one that keeps you signed in, and two that remember your appearance and whether the side rail is open. No advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run the service: signing you in, showing your work to the people your company lets see it, and sending the email and texts you ask for or that your workspace’s automations send.
- To keep it secure: spotting sign-ins that are not yours, limiting repeated requests, and looking into abuse.
- To help your company when it asks us to.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messages
We text your mobile number only after you opt in to signing in by text from your own profile in Clarity, and only with one-time sign-in codes: one to confirm the number when you opt in, then one each time you ask to sign in by text. An administrator can add a number to your account but cannot opt you in.
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. You can also opt out, or take your number off, from your profile at any time.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties; the provider that delivers the codes, named below, handles your number only to deliver them.
If you write to us
When you use the contact form on this site, we keep what you send (your name, email, company, phone and message) only to reply to you. It is stored with the service that runs this site’s forms, on Cloudflare. Write to [email protected] to have it removed.
Who else handles it
A few companies run parts of the service for us and handle information only to do that:
- Cloudflare hosts the service, its databases and files, and sends its email.
- Twilio sends sign-in codes by text to numbers that have opted in, and checks the code you type.
- Google, when you choose Sign in with Google, and when your workspace looks up a site’s address.
How long we keep it
- Your workspace’s records stay while your company uses the service. Records are archived rather than deleted, so a job’s history stays whole. Your company can ask us to remove its workspace.
- A session’s record goes when the session ends or expires. A number you take off your profile is taken off your account.
- We never store the codes texted to you; Twilio checks them and discards them.
- We keep backups of account records for recovery, and replace them over time.
Your choices
- From your profile you can change your name and photo, opt in to texts or out of them, take your number off, and sign out of sessions anywhere.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop them.
- For your account itself, or what your workspace holds, ask your administrator — your company decides those. For anything else, write to [email protected].
Security
Traffic to the service is encrypted. Sign-in links and sessions are stored only as hashes, so a copy of the database would not sign anybody in. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell your company.
Children
Clarity is for work, and is not meant for children.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and we tell workspace administrators about any change that matters.
